I am a doctoral candidate of information science and linguistics at the University of North Texas. My focus is on grapholinguistics, a subfield of linguistics which focuses on numerous aspects of written language.

 

My research interests within grapholinguistics include writing system and orthography development, literacy acquisition and processing, emerging writing systems of unwritten languages, and second language literacy.

Recent research has focused on literacy and orthography development in the NE Indian region, but my interests span all languages and regions.
